Advocacy Program

Boots On The Ground is now offering an Advocacy Program.

At Boots on the Ground, we recognize that navigating the system for mental health support, workplace injury claims, and other essential resources can be overwhelming. Our Advocacy Program is here to help.

Program Overview

Our dedicated volunteers—many of whom have firsthand experience with these processes—offer guidance and support to first responders facing challenges such as:

Accessing Mental Health Resources: Helping members connect with trusted professionals, programs, and peer support networks.

WSIB Claims: Providing direction and insight into Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) claims, including processes, and appeals.
*Please note: We do not assist with claim filing and/or documentation.

Navigating Benefits & Services: Assisting first responders in understanding and accessing available benefits, including workplace accommodations.

Peer Support & Empowerment: Offering encouragement and lived-experience guidance to help individuals advocate for themselves effectively.

We know that asking for help isn’t always easy, but you don’t have to do it alone. Our advocacy volunteers are here to listen, guide, and support—so you can focus on your well-being.
